...an Interfaith Flute Choir

From late summer to early May the Silver Pipers share music with local faith communities and assisted-care centers in Raleigh, North Carolina. Our current 12-member choir represents six worship communities and we range from the young to the young-at-heart. We unite for a common purpose: to serve God and community with our music.

During the playing season we meet each Thursday afternoon at 5:30 for comraderie and a 45-minute rehearsal at St. Philip Lutheran Church in north Raleigh. Each month we typically play one to two worship services in the local area and we visit assisted-care centers at least four times during the year.

We charge no fee to serve either faith communities or care centers. Occasionally an organization or individual will make a donation, which we greatly appreciate. However, we neither require nor expect such contributions.
