2005 Winners
  1. Kansas (346 pts)
    • #6   Julian Wright
    • #8   Mario Chalmers
    • #21 Micah Downs
    • #23 Brandon Rush
    • C.J. Henry

An awesome class for the Jayhawks that just got better with the late addition of Brandon Rush.  Four guys in the top 25 is hardly seems fair to the rest of the schools that will have to play against this group.

  2. Duke (339 pts)
    • #1   Josh McRoberts
    • #13 Greg Paulus
    • #39 Eric Boateng
    • #53 Marty Pocius
    • #60 Jamal Boykin

No surprise here -- Coach K does it again. Last year's top Blue Devil signee (#2 Shawn Livingston) skipped out and went straight to the NBA. This year, though, everybody is headed to Durham including RSCI #1 Josh McRoberts.

  3. North Carolina (325 pts)
    • #4   Tyler Hansbrough
    • #15 Danny Green
    • #29 Marcus Ginyard
    • #31 Bobby Frasor

The Heels keep pace with Duke matching them almost stride for stride with this group. Frasor dropped a bit over the course of his senior year but Green's stock soared over the same period.

  4. Oklahoma State (272 pts)
    1. #11  Keith Brumbaugh
    2. #20  Byron Eaton
    3. #45  Roderick Flemings
    4. #66  Terrel Harris
    5. #91  Kenneth Cooper

Even with the loss of Gerald Green (who would probably have been #1 over McRoberts if all RSCI sources included 5th year/prep schoolers) to the NBA, the late addition of Keith Brumbaugh makes this easily Eddie Sutton's best class ever with the Cowboys.

  5. Arizona (202 pts)
    • #30  Marcus Williams
    • #32  J.P. Prince
    • #39  Fendi Onobun

Lute Olson continues to lead the way in Pac 10 recruiting with another strong class.

  6. Memphis (169 pts)
    1. #27  Shawne Williams
    2. #41  Chris Douglas-Roberts
    3. #66  Antonio Anderson
    4. Robert Dozier

Shawne Williams is back again on the Tiger's list after committing last year but failing to qualify and might be 10 notches higher if all the RSCI sources included 5th year players. Losing #74 Ricky Sanchez to the NBA hurts but there's still more than enough talent for a top 10 class.

  7. Mississippi State (165 pts)
    1. #26  Jamont Gordon
    2. #48  Vernon Goodridge
    3. #64  Reginald Delk
    4. Richard Delk

The star of this class, #2 Monta Ellis, elected to skip school and head straight for the league but the Bulldogs still bring in a load of talent rounded off by the Delk twins.

  8. LSU (162 pts)
    1. #8   Tasmin Mitchell
    2. #32  Magnum Rolle

A small group in terms of players but the ones the Tigers have are top shelf talent that will be looking to replace the inside presence of SEC Player of the Year Bandon Bass, who headed to the pros early.

  9. Marquette (149 pts)
    • #36  Dominic James
    • #57  Jerel McNeal
    • #61  Wes Matthews

NBA departures at other schools make this class look better and better each day.

  10. NC State (148 pts)
    • #19  Brandon Costner
    • #35  Courtney Fells
    • Ben McCauley

Herb Sendek comes back with a second top notch class in as many years.

Honorable Mention:

  • Alabama (143 pts)
  • Syracuse (137 pts)
  • Louisville (121 pts)
  • Iowa State (108 pts)
