1. Married Tetsuko Uehira (September 20)

 2. News from the U.S. Consulate in Tokyo (July 14)
After more than 6 months of paperwork, our fiancee visa process
is over. After a brief review of paperwork, Tetsuko was granted
    her K1.

 3. Eagles vs Cowboys (October 10)
Eagles 13, Cowboys 10. The defense dominated and the offense finally
    came through in the clutch.

 4. Trip to Japan (February 5-15)
Purely vacation this time so that my fiancee and I could spend
some time together on her side of the world. Except for the strep
throat I caught, it was a wonderful time spent sightseeing and
    relaxing.

 5. Resignation from Juki (May 24)
In the middle of the INS visa procedures for my fiancee, as well as
her vacation in the US to spend time with me, I could no longer put
up with with the frustration of of dealing with Juki US management
(and the stress it was creating in my personal life).

 6. Time well spent (May 19- June 14)
My fiancee came to spend some time in the US in preparation to
moving here in the late summer / early fall. We traveled, shopped,
relaxed and had a perfect four weeks (except for some car trouble).

 7. Datacore (June 11, 16 and 28-)
My initial interview here in Raleigh, my trip to Datacore HQ in
Ft. Lauderdale and my official start date for the opportunity I
    have been looking for.

 8. Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (October 21)
The touring production came to Raleigh and I once again got to
see Deborah Gibson sparkle in her role as the narrator.

 9. Ft. Lauderdale/Orlando (December 9-13)
A dinner cruise with the other DataCore employees followed by a
few days at the Disney resorts. Not a bad way to end the year.

10. Night race at Bristol (March 3)
Yeah, Earnhole won, but otherwise it was a good race. My first time
to see a night race, and we had good seats.
