Snow started falling on Thursday, December 4th, in the Raleigh area.

We took a number of photos of the storm and damage. The big red oak trees on our property hadn't dropped all their leaves and this turned out to be a bad thing in an early season ice storm. The two most significant issues were a six inch hole in the utility building roof from a direct spearing action of a 5" diameter red oak limb and the clipping of the back corner of our house gutter with a massive red oak limb.
