Welcome modelers and enthusiasts to RDUCON 2008. Eagle Squadron, Raleigh’s own local IPMS/USA chapter supported by Wake Tech Community College invite you to the return of the Capital region’s Largest Scale Modeling event. Our theme for the show is to celebrate our club’s namesake Eagle Squadron from it’s RAF roots where American volunteers answered the call of the British to fly Hurricanes and later Spitfires through its impressive history in the 4th Fighter Group to present day. RDUCON 2008 comprises over 50 categories and special awards catering to a broad range of subject areas for modelers of junior to more advanced skill levels. The venue is a good place to display your work, swap stories and get tips. For the kids we will have a “make n take” where they can build a model. So sign up for that as spots are limited. Have fun and if any members can be of assistance don’t hesitate to ask. Other very popular items on the RDUCON agenda is the Raffle giveaways kindly donated by our event sponsors and the vendor area which promises to become the largest hobby store in the capital region to fulfill your needs. The vendors will be fully accessible during the show and is included in the entrance fees. So please be sure to take advantage of each area. So come on out, bring your models, come see some great scale subjects and have some fun at our event. Tony Leger, Club President |

We know high gas prices are of concern and hope you can carpool to get here. To help we’ve kept the show costs as low as possible to also give you a break...so come on out. This is the last big event until the Nationals in Virginia Beach.
We have >41 vendor tables sold. Categories sponsorship is 39 so far...and the raffle items we’ve got will attract a lot of interest. The award designs have received great feedback so we look forward to give them out. We also have a great guest historian to talk of Eagle Squadron history |
