Come to the opening of the Orange County Chess Club on
Friday, February 4th at 6:00pm! It is open to all ages and levels: (under age 12
with adult supervision please) Bring sets and clocks if possible. Orange County
Recreation registration forms to be filled out on your first visit. There is no
cost to join.
We will be offering the first and second installments of the highly acclaimed
"Comprehensive Chess Course". This course was co-authored by the famous Russian
School of Chess teacher Roman Pelts along with three time US Champion,
Grandmaster Lev Alburt. It is based on the once-secret Russian lesson plans used
to produce the long list of World Champions still at the top today. See the "Classes
and Lectures" page for details. Dates are yet to be announced.
The Orange County Chess Club is an all volunteer effort. Help with any aspect of
the club would be greatly appreciated!
