Hydnophytum formicarum flower and fruit
The compressed inflorescences of Hydnophytum formicarum appear
as a pair of mounds at each leaf axil. Small white flowers are followed by bright orange
fruit containing one or two seeds. The flowers of H. moseleyanum are similar but have a longer corolla tube.
