Air Master Episode 27

It obviously could have used one more episode but still...AWESOME! Yuki and Sakiyama got loads of air time. Yuki even teamed with Maki! It was a go nuts moment. Anime of the year (for me). Make another series! There's plenty of manga left.

Tuesday, 2003.09.30 @ 4:39pm
Callus Next has a small location test report (with a few pics) on ADK's new MVS game DanceRhythMIX. Now I'm not up-to-date on EVERYthing NeoGeo, but I could of sworn ADK was gone... Maybe it's one of their oldies that never got completed, 'till now that is.

Sumebamiyako no Cosmos-sou ~Suttoko Taihen Dokkoider~ Episode 11 & 12

After all the fun they have to get serious and wrap the show up in two eps. It's a good wrap up, but I just hate to see this show over so soon. I'll miss you Dokkoider!

Onegai Twins Episode 10

Yuka wasn't a former lover. *sniff* Mina's story with her was pretty predictable, but it plays out well enough. Could of used a few more flashbacks though, instead of Mina just...talking. At the end of the ep Karen notices that the house in the "picture" can't be the house they lived in as children, because it's on the other side of the road. So she turns around and sees the REAL house, in all its decrepitness. Some nice detective work there, Karen.

Here's a report of the Metal Slug 5 location test. Everything seems pretty kosher except the addition of being able to slide. Sliding is performed by pressing Down+B, which you can imagine will cause problems if you're on a platform with enemies below you and you want to jump up and shoot down at them (especially if you're on platforms that you can fall off of). Hopefully the AES version will let you assign it to it's own button or something (D?).

Monday, 2003.09.29 @ 4:28pm
Fuji TV has put up their sites for GUNSLINGER GIRL and R.O.D. -THE TV-. TV Tokyo's official site for AVENGER has also gone up. I might watch this one after all...

Sunday, 2003.09.28 @ 4:13pm
Anime I care about this Fall:
Not too much, just the way I likes it.

Sunday, 2003.09.28 @ 3:17pm
According to Challenger, King of Fighters 2003 will be released in December.

The Rundown was good. I don't see Rock coming back to wrestling any time soon...

Saturday, 2003.09.27 @ 1:19pm
Freedom Fighters PC
Too short! What's with short games these days!? What's with GOOD short games these days!? This game was good! Then it just ends! It's not enough dammit! Sigh. But yeah, it's good, and fun - go try it out.

Friday, 2003.09.26 @ 6:30pm
Changed my main logo pic there. It's a bit threatening for this site, but I like it! Fuuka rules. Episode 9 rocks the house.

Friday, 2003.09.26 @ 1:49pm
"KOF" for PlayStation 2 and King Of Fighters 2003 for NeoGeo. "KOF" will be in full 3D.

That KoF2003 logo looks very...updated.

Thursday, 2003.09.25 @ 10:07pm
Final Fantasy 12. November 19th. Information Beginning. Hahaha.

Thursday, 2003.09.25 @ 12:07pm
Here's a tracklisting for the music CD included with the LE of PS2 Castlevania (it's in the 9/25 PS2 news entry). It's going to have five tracks from the PS2 game, three from Akatsuki (the remix tracks from the website), nine from Gekka (remixes?...), and eight new original tracks (well, new remixes of old tunes most likely).

Thursday, 2003.09.25 @ 11:44am
Argh, Rockman X Command Mission!? RPG!? Still cel-shaded!? More of Axel!? When will Capcom learn!? That Magical Ninjya Jiraiya game don't look too bad though...

Thursday, 2003.09.25 @ 11:19am
Final Fantasy VII ~ADVENT CHILDREN~ screenshots. It's a movie, not a game. It takes place two years after FFVII and Cloud is once again the hero. From: QUITER

Cloud & Seph look hilarious. Oh yeah, there's also screens of new Kingdom Hearts games in that link. Too bad Kingdom Hearts sucks.

Wednesday, 2003.09.24 @ 2:45am
Air Master Episode 26

Kin gets his fighting spirit back thanks to Lucha power, and Byoubou, #1 on the Fukamichi ranking, beats the crap out of the other rankers to get a fight with Maki, which happens in the next (and final) ep. A pretty pointless setup episode, but the dialogue and animation were good. What the hell happened to the #2 ranker, Jons Lee? We've never even seen what he looks like. Ah well.

Tuesday, 2003.09.23 @ 3:07pm
It's very nice to meet you too, LARK-san! Thanks for linking to me.

Done with Yotsubato! Episode 3.

Friday, 2003.09.19 @ 10:20pm
Makai Eiyuuki Maximo ~Machine Monster no Yabou~ PS2
A worthy follow-up. Lots more fighting than the first, more combos & moves for Maximo, a new weapon, and a more aggressive soundtrack (again by Tommy Tallarico Studios, a lot of it reminds me of his work on Skeleton Warriors). Though noticeably easier and way too short, it keeps enough of the old and adds enough of the new to not make it a disappointing sequel game(DMC2).

But now that I beat it I have to go back to playing Drag-On Dragoon...ugh.

Friday, 2003.09.19 @ 8:05pm
Hurricanes suck.

In today's news update, NCS has indicated that PS2 SNK vs Capcom has a release date of December 18th.

Thursday, 2003.09.18 @ 12:45am
Silent Hill movie info. Yay?

Thursday, 2003.09.18 @ 12:38am
SNK vs Capcom is being ported to the PS2. There's no release date yet, but the price will be 6800yen. It'll be on display at this year's Tokyo Game Show. From: Namae no Nai Heya

I don't know whether to care or not...

Tuesday, 2003.09.16 @ 5:25pm
Air Master Episode 25

Julietta beats the perfect Konishi and almost has sex with Maki in the process. He's a crafty one. From the looks of the next episode preview it looks like this is going on to more than 27 eps. I certainly hope so.

Tuesday, 2003.09.16 @ 4:04pm
Famitsu.com reports that the new PS2 Castlevania will have a 8800yen limited edition! They believe it'll come with an original drawing by Ayami Kojima, a seven page calender illustrated by Kojima, and the soundtrack to the game.

I am SO preordering!

Tuesday, 2003.09.16 @ 3:37pm
Onegai Twins Episode 9

Twenty minutes of boring crap until finally at the end we get a story development. Who is this girl that knows Mina? Former lover? (PLEASE!) Anyways, it's about time things starting heating up on this show.

Tuesday, 2003.09.16 @ 1:31pm
B'z (ie BEST BAND IN THE WORLD) 13th Album "BIG MACHINE"
Awesome, awesome album. It's been getting nothing but praise on various Japanese BBS boards, and for good reason. The writing is great, the guitar work is supreme, and the drums are louder than ever (thanks to Shane Gaalaas). All 13 songs on this thing could be stand-alone singles. They even re-record IT'S SHOWTIME!! with real drums! It sounds so much grittier and nasty now, just what it needed. Rock on, B'z!!!

Tuesday, 2003.09.16 @ 1:11pm
R.O.D. -The TV- Episode 4

More more more more more! Hot chibikko action. And Yukari Tamura voices TWO people now! Even though they're both annoying characters, that's excellent!

R.O.D. -The TV- Episode 3

Yes yes yes yes yes! No complaints here! And Yukari Tamura guest voice!

Monday, 2003.09.15 @ 8:55pm
Fullmetal Panic? Fumoffu Episode 4

One of the Taiho Shichauzo spoof girls from the first episode showed up in the first story. I couldn't tell before, but she's voiced by Akiko Hiramatsu! And she's an extremely awesome character...who needs her own show! The second story involved Kaname and Sousuke checking out a haunted school. Tons of great dialogue and expressions from Kaname. Great episode!

Saturday, 2003.09.13 @ 11:50am
A Rockman compilation is in the works for PS2 and Gamecube! It'll include Rockman 1-8 (with REMIXED MUSIC! hopefully better remixed than the PS remakes) and both of the Power Battle CPS games. Gamers.com says it'll have a simultaneous US/Japan release in February 2004.

That is awesome! I had fears Rockman would be doomed forever after the crappiness that is X7.

Saturday, 2003.09.13 @ 1:02am
Sumebamiyako no Cosmos-sou ~Suttoko Taihen Dokkoider~ Episode 10

Excellent! But why no onsen shots?! They were right there! Give a little, take a little I guess, grrr. Still an awesome episode.

Thursday, 2003.09.11 @ 11:44pm
KOF2003 on Atomiswave? Sammy vs Capcom on Atomiswave? Interesting. All I'll say is... sprites better be redrawn.

Falcom put up a new demo movie of Y's VI on its official page. It looks really awesome. But their choice of music is kinda wacky.

Wednesday, 2003.09.10 @ 5:25pm
Air Master Episode 24

There was over 10 minutes of talking about MEAT! Come on! I like meat but this is ridiculous. They could've done so much more in this ep had that whole segment been shortened to like four minutes. In the next ep, it's Julietta vs #3 on the Fukamichi ranking, Konishi. And there's only two more episodes after that! No rematch with Yuki!? Say it ain't so.

Wednesday, 2003.09.10 @ 2:11pm
Onegai Twins Episode 8

Why must Tsubaki be with the fruity guy!? They just HAD to have another "couple" on the show (ala Kaede/Hyousuke). Sigh. Tsubaki deserves so much better. Anyway, the art and animation were good. And the episode itself was good, despite the coupling, grrr.

Tuesday, 2003.09.09 @ 2:42am
Fullmetal Panic? Fumoffu Episode 3

Another good episode. Yuji Ueda and Tomoko Kaneda were thrown into the guest voice mix with excellent results. If anyone should say the tag line of your show, it should be Tomoko. Oh, and new hair style for Kaname! New hair styles rule.

Monday, 2003.09.08 @ 3:05am
24 Season 2 boxset out tomorrow! Yay! And a trailer for Season 3 aired yesterday. Looks great!

Sumebamiyako no Cosmos-sou ~Suttoko Taihen Dokkoider~ Episode 9

Maron Flower meets an old friend from the past. Things don't go too well. The animation was good this ep, but chara art was suspect. Next episode looks to have the same direction as episode 5. Let's see how it goes this time around.

Tuesday, 2003.09.02 @ 4:23pm
Onegai Twins Episode 7

The beach episode. This had good animation and some funny moments. I'm getting a little tired of Mina and Karen and their whole Renai Doumei shtick though. It's getting cheesy...

Air Master Episode 23

After a long battle of headbutts, Yuki beats Maki. They better fight again before the show is over dammit! This was awesome. And Sakiyama was on board, baby!

Tuesday, 2003.09.02 @ 1:13pm
R.O.D. -The TV- Episode 2

Excellent! I'm glad this is going to be 26 eps now. It'll give more chances to have episodes like this one! And I love how they use clips from the previous episode for the OP song - very stylish. Plus the music is kickin'.

Sumebamiyako no Cosmos-sou ~Suttoko Taihen Dokkoider~ Episode 8

Great episode. Could have been better if the art were a bit more detailed. Kikuko Inoue makes a cameo as Mizuho. Sadly, the Sispri parodies did not have the official voices.

Sumebamiyako no Cosmos-sou ~Suttoko Taihen Dokkoider~ Episode 7

Nice serious episode about Kurika. Art and animation were very nice.

Tuesday, 2003.09.02 @ 2:42am
Fullmetal Panic? Fumoffu Episode 2

The OP song sounds like an ED song. And the animation with it is kind of bland. Ah well. Good episode though. The streak continues.

Monday, 2003.09.01 @ 8:44pm
R.O.D. -The TV- Episode 1

Great characters, great art, and great voice acting - the three things an anime needs for me to enjoy it. This show has them in spades. But can JC Staff keep it up for 26 eps? Nenene > Yomiko. Sorry Yomiko.
