Peace Corps
Following Hurricane Georges, I saw that the emergency evacuation procedures that were in place for Peace Corps in the Dominican Republic were sorely inadequate, so I went to the country director where I proposed and then oversaw a program which used the GPS (Global Positioning Satellite) system to streamline emergency evacuation for over 150 volunteers.

I enjoy designing web pages. The creativity involved in graphic design and writing the text for pages is my favorite part of the activity. 

Echo A flash presentation for a joint project between the Duke and NC State libraries designed to make cultural resources availible online.  Warning this file is very large and will be difficult to view without a high speed connection. Click on the Echo logo to start the movie.

Zycare Inc.  I designed the web site for this innovative health management company that uses the internet to aid in patient home care.  The company has been featured by Microsoft as a developer case study for the effective use of new internet based technologies.

Peace Corps Experience

No one experience has so profoundly shaped the man I am today as the Peace Corps.  I found it to be both the most challenging and the most rewarding thing I have ever done.  I am very proud of what I accomplished as a volunteer. Desktop Publishing

While I was employed at Product Recovery Management. I did a wide range of desktop Publishing, creating user manuals and promotional materials. Here are some examples from that time of pages I put together to promote company products.  Everything on the pages is my own work. I drew all the illustrations myself in CAD and Adobe Photoshop. I then did the final layout in Microsoft Word.
