Failing Fostering 101!

Many people just fall in love with their foster dog and cannot part with him/her. It's VERY common! We joke about it as "Failing Fostering 101". As the foster home, you always have the first choice to adopt your foster dog.   Just let your coordinator know as soon as you're contemplating it so we don't offer him/her to someone else. You'll need to fill in an Adoption Agreement. The adoption fee is the standard $200.

If you have expenses to submit for the dog, you can deduct the $200 from the amount you are requesting to be reimbursed.  If your expenses are LESS than $200 (for example, the dog was already spayed and had few vet costs to update her shots), then you do not have to pay any additional to ESRA. You don't have to file for reimbursement. Just consider what you spent on your vet fees as the adoption fee, and consider yourself lucky! How's that sound?!
