Get Involved

Dinner with a Missionary

This is your opportunity to invite a missionary for dinner.  Eat dinner at home or take them out to a restaurant.  You can choose Wednesday, Thursday or Saturday night.  You will need to plan dinner early enough so that the missionary can be back at the church by 6:40 p.m. (Wed and Thurs only).  Please sign up in the narthex or contact Elaine Small at erg47s70@nc.rr.com

Banquet

Friday night is the missions conference banquet and we need your help setting up tables, chairs and decorations.  If you can help on Friday, please sign up in the narthex or contact Heather Hartman at 449-2567 or hhartman@nc.rr.com.

Car Tune Up

Do you have mechanical skills?  On Saturday we will have a car maintenance session tuning up the missionaries’ cars.  If you are interested, please sign up in the narthex or contact Oscar Joyner at ojoyner@ntnusa.com.

Car Spiff

Teens, we need your help.  On Saturday morning we will be doing a car spiff.  This includes interior cleaning and washing windows.  (We are unable to do a car wash due to current water restrictions)

Donate to the Missionary Closet

Don’t let the missionary closet get bare!  We need to make sure it stays stocked up.  Items that you can bring are:

3. Socks (men’s, women’s and children’s)

4. Gift Cards (e.g. Walmart, Target)

5. Coloring Books

6. Good Quality Toothbrushes

7. Razors

8. Q-Tips

9. Mouthwash

11. Bath and Body Works (lotions, body wash, soaps)

12. Soap Bars*

13. Hand Lotions*

14. Body Wash*

15. Toothpaste*

16. Shampoo*

17. Shaving Cream*

18. Men’s and Women’s Deodorants*

Attend the Services

Be at the conference each night.

Get to Know Our Missionaries

Take every opportunity to get to know our missionaries.  The better you know them, the better you can pray for them.  Stop by their display tables in the narthex, meet with them for dinner, attend the banquet, or help out at the car maintenance / spiff.

Our missionaries need our prayers.  They have specific needs and requests.  Please click here for the prayer list.  Perhaps the Lord has enabled you to meet some of these needs.
