Ralph and Louise Green

Word of Life

We are excited to have Ralph and Louise Green come to us from Lynchburg, Virginia to be the speaker for our children’s mission conference. Ralph’s biography is listed below.

Ralph has brought his friend Danny DoLittle along to be part of the conference too!

Rev. Green has been in the ministry for forty eight years, thirty two of which has been with Word of Life Local Church Ministries in various capacities. He now serves as missionary with Word of Life Fellowship, Inc. in the area of Extended Ministries to Churches. He works with churches throughout the South East in areas where there are no local missionaries close enough for personal service.  He and his wife, Louise reside in Bedford County near Lynchburg, Virginia where they are active members of Heritage Baptist Church.

Having lost both parents as a child, Rev. Green lived in numerous foster homes until ten years of age when he was placed in Boys’ Home in Covington, Virginia where he lived for six years. He became a Christian at the age of sixteen and shortly after that was called by God to the gospel ministry. He was instrumental in starting a Bible Club at Covington High School and was elected as its president. At the age of seventeen, in his senior year, he preached his first sermon to the student body and faculty of Covington High School.

Rev. Green served as a pastor for fourteen years and has preached in eighteen states of America and nine foreign counties. He holds two Bachelor Degrees, one in History and one in Theology. He also holds a Master of Divinity Degree. He spent twelve years in training at Appalachian Bible College, Bryan College, Grace College, Grace Theological Seminary, Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary, Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and Louisiana Baptist Theological Seminary through which he is presently working on a Doctor of Ministry Degree.

In 1985, Rev. Green was inducted into Delta Epsilon Chi Honor Society. In January of 2000 he assisted Steve Nicholes in starting a Discipleship School in Korea known as S.Y.M.E. (School of Youth Ministries In English). In 2005 he was inducted into The Boys’ Home Hall of Fame. In 2006 he received a certificate for completion of Evangelism Explosion through Heritage Baptist Church and Coral Ridge Ministries.

For nearly a half a century Rev. Green has had as an “assistant” in his ministry, a young fellow with a wooden head that sleeps in a suitcase. His name is Danny DoLittle. This ventriloquist dummy is a great attraction to young and old alike.

Rev. Green married Louise Ruth Wegner, a daughter of a missionary. Rev. & Mrs. Green have two children, Ralph, III who is a pastor in Houston, TX and Rhonda who, along with her husband, are missionaries in Asia.  The Greens have nine grandchildren.

Rev. and Mrs. Green have a passion for serving the Lord and His people and reaching the lost.
