Dear Gamma Phi Beta Alumnae,

How proud I am of our chapter over the last year! We grew our membership by 27%, increased our average attendance at events, and attained "Circle of Excellence" chapter recognition. It's my privilege to serve my second year as your chapter president.

Your officers have created an excellent year's worth of activities; repeating several of the favorites, adding a few new ones. We've distributed the events around the Triangle; a few in Raleigh, a few in Cary, a few in Durham. Most are on Saturdays, but a couple are scheduled for Thursday evenings.

Take a look at our schedule; we hope you'll find events you'll enjoy participating in with us. Please place these dates on your calendars!

The officers also felt it was successful last year to offer 9 total events throughout the year. This allows us more opportunities to socialize with each other, even when calendar conflicts occasionally get in our way.

Our feedback indicated you also appreciate more opportunities to see your fellow sisters.

We have noted a few events that are open to attendance by family members and friends. We hope you enjoy the opportunity to share our organization with friends and families at those events.

We have also strived to maintain dues at $35 again this year; International dues remain at $25, our local chapter dues at $10. Our chapter's viability relies on this financial support.

As Vicki Carlson Read, outgoing International President, stated at Convention in June "with the privilege of sisterhood, brings the responsibility of membership".

Please take a moment to reflect on the friendships and benefits you've received from your association with Gamma Phi Beta over the years; your financial support through your dues would be much appreciated.

We currently have over 250 sisters in the area, represented by chapters throughout the U.S. and Canada. Our age range, interests, and occupations provide a wonderfully diverse and interesting compliment of sisters.

Please accept my invitation to join us in friendship and fun this year, whether new to the area, an active member, or returning to our chapter.

In IIKE,

Nancye
