
Major Paul C. De Sessa is the Brigade Surgeon for the Carolina Legion. He is a member of the Society of Civil War Surgeons, the National Museum of Civil War Medicine, The Museum of the Confederacy, the Gordonsville Receiving Hospital Museum, and the NC Civil War Tourism Council. He is also the 2nd Lt. Commander of the Sons of Confederate Veterans - Fayetteville Arsenal Camp # 168.
Professionally, he is a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist at Womack Army Medical Center, Fort Bragg, N.C. He is also a Registered Respiratory Therapist, and a Neonatal/Pediatric Respiratory Care Specialist. He is a member of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists and the American Association for Respiratory Care.
He is married to Leslie Sorhagen De Sessa and has two sons: Matthew age 16 and Mark age 13. He is the Membership Chairman of the Crosse Creek Rifle & Pistol Club of Fayetteville, is a MacIntosh Computer aficionado, races slot cars and is a veteran of many surgical missions for the poor in Bolivia.
