How does the electric force of Coulomb's Law act at a distance?
Michael Faraday's answer was that the charge sets up an electric field in the
space around it which affect other charges. Any change in the charge
changes this field and takes time to occur.

ANY VECTOR FIELD IS A COLLECTION OF VECTORS WHICH
CHANGE IN MAGNITUDE AND DIRECTION ACCORDING TO
THE POSITION AROUND A DEFINED OBJECT.

THE ELECTRIC FIELD INDICATOR IS THE PROTON ! ALWAYS!

DEFINITION OF ELECTRIC FIELD:
>>>E = F/q (test charge value)

ELECTRIC FIELD LINES EXTEND AWAY FROM
POSITIVE CHARGE AND TOWARD NEGATIVE CHARGE.

Equation for the E Field of a point charge!

Michael Faraday was the originator of the idea of the electric field concept. He
influenced James Clerk Maxwell and provoked him to consider new ideas. He is a very
interesting person and physicist!
