For those who are interested in such things, I do have some college degrees: a B.A. from Earlham College (in Indiana) with majors in Speech and Music; and both an M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Michigan (emphasizing Radio-TV).

After 28 years as a Professor of Media Studies at California State University, Northridge, I am now retired and living in the woods of North Carolina . . . where I teach courses at the Duke Institute for Learning in Retirement, plan to continue my writing, and think about updating my web site.
