RarsFest!

Blades At RARS, we like to fest with the best. Here's how we do it.

Social

The RARS Crystals start things off with a social event the night before the big day.

This event is for the vendors, but our members are invited to bring a covered dish and join us. As you can see, it's very popular.

ARRL Booth

Chuck, K4HF gets the ARRL booth set up for our guests from Headquarters. This job is much more pleasant with Alan, Rick, and David telling him how to do it.

Table Sales

Here's Doug, AD4UL, doing one of the things he does so well... selling tables. Joe watches to make sure he does it right, while Liz keeps an eye on Joe.

Ticket Sales

The Spratley's can be found selling tickets during the day every year. They can put more people through the door than anyone.

Answer Women

Once they're in the fest, they think up the darnest questions. (Where can I find a whiz-bang b-33-hx for my 43 meter py-floon. I'm not sure what it looks like, but somebody here must have one...)

Pat handles them with great expertise... Nobody's stumped her yet!

KC4UPX

Different people get around the fest different ways. Bernard uses two wheels,

KD4ACW

While Cyndi uses eight. Ask her the best way to STOP with these things.

Cap-N-Badge Man

What would a fest be without razzing Dale a little. Here Jeff, Doug (N3VEJ), and Wilbur take their shift at it.

KS4VX

Roger, KS4VX sends code with his left foot. Why would he want to do this, you ask? Well, for the glory, for the fun, and for the money. Mostly for the money... There's a $100 in cash prizes on the line for this.

N3GO

Now, if you think the QLF (Now, try sending with your left foot) contest looks like fun, you should see this! Gary, N3GO sends QBH (both hips) with the hula key. There's $100 on the line for this one too, To win it, just wiggle your butt.

Group

This is a picture of some of the folks who helped to make it happen. There were 127 different people that volunteered to help. Without them the event could not happen. We'll be looking for YOU to volunteer next year!
